John SiracusaFive years ago today, after listening to some negative discussion on @atpfm, someone on Twitter angrily predicted that “in 5 years, Tesla will have a marketcap at least 5 times larger than Apple.” I made a calendar event for this prediction, because I am petty. But now the account that posted it has deleted all its tweets, ruining the fun.
And speaking of longterm predictions, I did indeed add this to my calendar (although I wouldn’t take the bet at two years, so we settled on three).
Marcos Huerta@siracusa My transcript search site is woefully out of date (my Mac Mini and gaming PC are furiously making transcripts with Whisper right now) but it did hone in on this episode/timestamp fairly well (third result, second if 'airpod max updates' which is annoying)
(edit: for some reason whatever combination of whisper.cpp and the model I have on my Mac produced 'air pods max' for 683, so finding the resolution of the bet is harder : sigh)
