XKCD: Centimeter Wavelengths

Title text: "Yes, the cosmic microwave background is great, but what about the earthly microwave foreground?"

Penzias and Wilson, while debugging the noise in their cm wavelength antenna accidentally discovered the cosmic microwave background radiation. They won the Nobel Prize in 1978.

What about IT people who spend endless hours troubleshooting WiFi that uses similar wavelengths?

XKCD: Satellite Pollution

Title text: We're working to make sure the images are as up-to-date and accurate as possible, with a minimum number of sponsored galaxies.

In XKCD world, this is tech's solution to light pollution by LEO constellations and its effect on astronomy - 100-mile wide banners hanging off satellites with pictures of stars and galaxies, mostly inaccurate.

Problem solved!

@AkaSci I love xkcd and I should find this hilarious, but I'm just too tired from fighting stupid techbro crap pretty much exactly like this.
