This photo is of very poor quality, but I wanted to show you it nonetheless.

It shows the Virgo Cluster, a cluster of galaxies visible in the Virgo constellation.

Each of those fluffy clouds is a galaxy similar to ours Milky Way, each has billions of stars just like our Sun.

The more notable ones are Messier 90 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messier_87) and Messier 87 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messier_87)

@stfn Pretty cool! Living in an area of Bortle 7-8, I can't see anything remotely close to this with my el-cheapo Sky-Watcher Explorer 130/900. I can see M57 veery faintly, but having travelled to bortle 2 areas with a smaller scope, looking at the nightsky from home is a bit depressing. I suppose long exposure and stacking would help, but I'm afraid of starting another expensive hobby 😅
@fhekland Thanks! I know what you mean. Right now I live in a Bortle 4/5 area, and visiting places with darker skies makes me sad what we have lost.
