I never go to Japanese style bars or izakaya, but I didn't wanna go anywhere usual tonight. So I went to this new place near my house, and it turns out it's a very small style bar. I was not expecting it but I walked in and had to commit.

Because I never go to this kind of place, I had no idea the bar was around the corner from the door.
When I came in, a guy stood up and looked at me and I just assumed he was staff. So I was like "one person, can I enter?"
He was confused and off-put because he was a customer. Which I realized when I entered and looked around.
