#Trump dementedly rambling late yesterday about #NATO :

“We would have always been there for them, but now, based on their actions, I guess we don't have to be, do we?" Trump told the audience.

"That sounds like a breaking story? Yes, sir. Is that breaking news? I think we just have breaking news, but that's the fact. I've been saying ‌that. Why would we be there for them if they're not there for us? They weren't there for us."

Yet largely ignored by media today.

@JugglingWithEggs
We are there for them no problem but they need to get attack first without starting the war themselves.

It's that easy 🤷‍♂️

@Xanatos

Well yes, NATO is a defence treaty.

But the POTUS just talked about breaking up NATO because he doesn’t think it was there for him in his offensive actions…doesn’t that warrant some journalistic interrogation? Even if the angle is ‘why is a POTUS so casually suggesting the breakup of a 50 year alliance’? Shouldn’t someone care?

@JugglingWithEggs You are right, someone should care because he will put the USA in danger if he does leave the NATO. Sure the US is quite strong military but defending as part of a joined operation is properly much more effective.

But without removing him from the white house he will continue making stupid decisions. It's not in my hand to change that as a European citizen. I won't make a impact on that matter, sadly.

Hopefully the US citizen will solve that issue soon.

@JugglingWithEggs Also I don't think that any news is helping in the US right now.
It seems like most people stopped to trust the official media and get there information mainly from social media.

So a news article will probably not help that much inside the US.
