I added a note about the active transport infrastructure deficit. Cycling, e-bikes and scooters have been on the rise in Brisbane and Queensland for many years. Creating an effective ban on e-bikes and e-mobility would affect so many people in a time when we need more of it, not less.
Many accidents have also involved e-motorbikes which were already previously illegal. Enforcement of those already illegal devices should be far more of a priority than introducing new laws.
