@gvwilson As an avid cyclist and believer in the need for the mobility transition, I’m very compelled by this analogy. A big difference of course is that e-bikes pollute the planet less compared to cars and other private transportation, while so far LLMs have a problematic ecological impact. To fix the analogy, I would suggest LLMs have got to become a lot more private and local to reach their full potential.
