James EndicottFrom what I've been able to piece together, the answer appears to be that it's way behind because horses are hard to draw even with computer animation helping.
The first episode was extra long so it wouldn't end on a cliffhanger but that was a concession to not being able to finish a batch of episodes for Spring, possibly for the year.
