Not delighted with the ISP, who said it'd be happening sometime this month, but also said they'd confirm precisely which date it would happen. (And the error message seems unnecessarily harsh.)

The fact that the site is still down, and they have not responded to my support ticket after 10 hours is just reminding me why I want to migrate off this web provider as soon as I have the time to do it.

I can't begin to tell you the cascading stuffups (by the hosting company) that mean my web site is still down. It'll make a good blog post... when it's back up.😠

Updated public transport patronage data has just been released, including for January 2026. This is particularly interesting given the Summer Start free weekend travel that applied during December and January. I found a nice fellow in Austria who runs his own Ghost hosting for very little dollars and I feel he's a decent grown up on top of everything. In case you're running ghost, or want to.

I like it when grown ups take care of things so I don't have to.

@ewen Thanks for that. It's Wordpress... I have considered switching to Ghost, but I've got it working again for now, so one step at a time!
