@emily it’s a protocol intended to address some problems inherent in the meshcore and Meshtastic protocols. Namely the use of different methods for avoiding cross talk and using frequency hopping instead of a fixed frequency to build in better resiliency. It also implements adaptive data rate (on the fly adjustment of radio settings) in circumstances that would benefit from it and get better bandwidth.
There’s a lot more I could say but I’ve got limited characters here :)

Once I’ve got code in a little better place I’ll release the code (including firmware for the devices I support today) - I’m hoping to do that in the next few days.
