I wonder how this recent #meta lawsuit will affect the broader discussion on age verification, at least here in the U.S.

Like yeah this is the big blow to the big tech giants whose sole business model is dependent on social and emotional manipulation and im glad they got what they deserve, but I also know that some politicians will see this and proclaim how #ageverification will “protect” us from said manipulation.

Maybe we should tell them about the #fediverse
