The semiconductor fabs of Sony mostly specialize in camera sensor and stuff like that.

You may actually be right, I havenât really watched the show as I donât have Apple TV. But it annoys me to no end theyâd use the namez say itâs based on the books, and do something different rather than an adaptation.

I donât know that the âThe Man in the High Castleâ (supposed to be based on a novel by Philip K. Dick) show was just about the setting and they came up with their own story. I was so pissed off after watching the first episode.
I was actually wondering why they even went with âThe Man in the High Castleâ since itâs a strange and superficially depressing novel. There are much better choices for a series or a movie.
Thatâs why I didnât bother with the Foundation series (I am a big Asimov fan). I donât mind a re-interpretation of a literary work, but it has to be creative and mind bending while conceptually (and philosophically?) engaging with the themes from the literary work.
Hey, I was a fan of Asimovâs genius when I was a kid, but that was some time ago, and I remember only The Gods Themselves. As I read it many times, thatâs my favourite. Are there any others youâd recommend? I mean, of course I plan to enjoy them all. But perhaps there are some recommendations for a stranger to read this, and then that, and then something else too.
Funnily enough âThe Gods Themselvesâ themselves is my favorite Asimov novel. Itâs very memorable. Doesnât feel like an Asimov novel.
I would honestly go with âThe Caves of Steelâ as a âbenchmarkâ Asimov experience, the first novel in the Robot series.
If you want to go for something a little bit outside of the Robot / Foundation series (and youâve already read or reread âThe Gods Themselves"), I would go for âThe End of Eternityâ.
NikeluiI meant the books, which are not very detailed and focus on his genius at predicting whole societies, but not separate people, yadda-yadda, the author might have liked that specific detail, except itâs wrong, a society consists of all its members, and predicting one person is still easier. I suspect thatâs because Foundation is actually a utopia, something showing how science and genius are always ultimately on the side of the good. IRL thatâs not true.

Like when the internet bubble burst they put way more fiber lines into the ground than they used at the time but eventually the overcapacity came to good use. Scientists are always in need for compute to run their simulations.
This isnât sustainable. Almost all of our infrastructure runs on computers and eventually it will reach a point where you have a computer in charge of vital infrastructure that wonât be able to buy replacement part and itâll just fail.

I bit of ram, but then Iâd imagine you only need some purpose built chip for the connection, input and display logic. Effectively youâd need little more than a chrome cast-like device.
