I kind of think of people who are interested in vertebrates as being a little basic. Oh you like wolves? Bunnies? ... meh get on my level. Check out the arthropods. (I'm trying to be better about this. less of an ant hispster)
I have discovered that sponge people think of *me* as basic in the same way when I talk about ants.
