@astraluma Eating is good. You should be able to eat. I just hate the strings this fucking industry attaches to very reasonable goals like eating.

This whole mania around sticking AI slop into everything is just fucking insane. You'd think cybersecurity would be the LAST place they try to shove it, but no.

@astraluma feeling over here like the Horrible Financial Decision is coming up fast

the money is the only reason to stay in this ontologically-evil industry, because i can't do anything else that would feed us both, but jfc im going to have to learn something at some point :(

@astraluma I also am forced to use AI at my new gig. At the end of the day, you gotta eat.

I'm personally in a position where I can offer a bit of mutual aid to people on fedi. I think that use of funds negates the guilt a little. I ultimately help more than I harm (I hope at least)

But yeah, it was a struggle to accept that I would have to use it.
