Update: One density bonus pencils out in Squamish's Garibaldi Estates

A proposed 'density bonus' program meant to trade extra building capacity for community amenities is unlikely to work across most of Garibaldi Estates under current market conditions, district planners say. Staff told council this week that only the large parcel at 2163 Mamquam Rd. appears financially viable for a townhouse project that could reach about 70 units if it delivers a park parcel and frontage improvements.
