The worst bit about these #crimes is surely the #thieves must have some links to the fandom, I barely know one #Pokémon card from the other or which ones are common and which are rare..

I suppose _someone_ in the chain has to know which ones are valuable, but the actual thieves perhaps only needed to know "get the ones in the locked cabinet"?

@unchartedworlds I was a raver in 1990s/00s and encountered all sorts of folk (including some who were funding their lifestyles through various illegal activities) and initially there was a big gulf between those who would burgle a business and those who would be into such things as Pokémon..

However the gap narrowed by late 90s - hence why the shop owners likely wouldn't even know if their shop was being cased, as they can't be suspicious of every man in late youth/early middle age in a hoodie in a tracksuit as they could equally be a legitimate gamer/Pokémon enthusiast with no ill intent..
