Apple Giveth, Apple Taketh Away

Safari is no longer breaking my menu-item-icon despising heart on MacOS 26 Tahoe, but the best trick to block the Tahoe “upgrade” notice on MacOS 15 Sequoia no longer works.

My way to prevent the macOS Tahoe update with Little Snitch

@lapcatsoftware I gave your approach some thought back when you posted it, and reconsidered it today in light of the device profile trick no longer working, but it's too hardcore for me. I still want to check and install updates through the GUI.
@daringfireball unfortunately the Sequoia 15.7.5 update has broken this “fix”. Seems like other people in the comments are having the same problem, too bad.
@daringfireball I did an update on 26.4 but still I have those icons... :( maybe it is because it is in german. But this I wouldn't understand.
@Sepphod Did you apply the setting?

@daringfireball the beta trick to block Tahoe works on iOS as well! Signing up for 18 public beta stops it asking to upgrade to 26 - hooray!

(I know I’m missing out on security updates, but I’ve tried 26 on other devices and no thank you. Maybe I’ll be able to stomach 27, will see in a couple of months)
