How much do you pay for electricity (aka Hydro)?

I'll go first.

$ 0.18187 per kWh plus $19.17 base charge per month.

($ CAD)

@Javensbukan

23.3 ยข/day, then ...

My rate is in two tiers with a 22.2 kWh/day threshold (averaged over the billing period of about one month)

11.782 ยข/kWh below the threshold
14.08 ยข/kWh above the threshold

On average for me this has worked out to 12.46 ยข/kWh.

@Javensbukan Currently .0869 per kWh* but eyeing a solar plan that would be .0699 low and .35 high.

* Bill includes a Distribution Charge of 0.769463/day plus 0.015477/kWh and Transmission Charge of 0.038996/kWh. And then a little over $24 in admin and other fees.

($CAD)

@Chigaze At first I thought this was really cheap, but then I saw all of those other fees. ๐Ÿค”
@Javensbukan Alberta is good at tacking on fees.

@Chigaze An average bill for us is around $250-$300 for two months in the winter.

Depending on how cold it is (decrepit heat pump).

Last two months I used about 650 kWh per month, as it was fairly chilly still.

The NS government takes some pity on us and refunds us a portion of the HST at least ๐Ÿ˜…

@Javensbukan Just checking my last two bills and we were ~$178/month* on ~860 kWh/month. Our heat pump runs until -10C and then we cut over to gas.

*GST included

@Javensbukan 0,17 EUR kWh (including network transfer)
2,5 eur base fee per month
