@horsedreamer @flesh CIELAB 16-bit four-channel color encoded by converting each color channel to a Unicode codepoint and encoding it as the character following an emoji skin tone combiner

@nytpu @flesh that's exactly how they'd do it, but in practice everyone would use the variable width encoding unless they're targeting high end technophile displays
