There's even a substantial amount of self-loathing support for Trump from people who hate themselves and see themselves as inferior to white men. White women are the biggest such group, but a variety of people of color also have self-loathing severe enough to vote GOP
I understand the hateful portion of maga. They are racists, bigots, xenophobes, misogynists, and they love their leader because he is like that too.
But there was this woman, I don’t remember her name, who at a convention said Trump was “pure love”. 🤨 The only thing that guy loves is himself, money, and power, and projections of himself: men like him, other powerful people, rich people, etc.
Or those guys who see that Trump is some sort of hand of god.

@JackMexa4 the hateful portion of #MAGA is 100%. Trump became leader of the GOP via 8 years of ranting that Obama is an illegal immigrant from Kenya. In 2024 Trump ran more ads bashing trans women than he did on immigration, inflation and crime combined. #MAGAts, like Trump, are extremely dishonest about their horrible motives for supporting Trump and Republicans.

And you may be right about dishonesty regarding some people’s motives for supporting the guy (others are hateful and proud). There’s no other explanation for not wanting to see the hate that he emanates, and seeing love (!) instead.
