When you post a recurring event you will only see the first one on the calendar and that is the only one which will federate.
But when that event is over it will create the next event and federate it!
For example, I did not create this event gancio did it!

However, from the attendee perspective, they have to add each event to their calendar. Each ical is non repeating.
