I've been through 93 protests and I'm still in one piece.

My protest safety:

1. Use SpotHero.com if you have to drive a car
2. Don't forget sunscreen and water
3. Go with friends and/or tell someone where you'll be
4. Ignore counter protesters if there even are any. I went through a lot of this crap early last year when protesting was scary and if you don't give them the fight they want, they just yell and then go away.
5. Don't smoke, those things will kill you.

Just sayin'.

I also do higher risk stuff where I take more precautions than that, but the above list is all you need for No Kings. Last year at No Kings 2 there were hardly any counter protesters nationwide. It's always possible, but as I said you just have to ignore those people.

The regime is not going to hunt you down because you went to a No Kings protest. These people can't find their own asses with both hands and a road map. They really can't find all the millions of us who march.

Do they WANT to lock us all up? Of course they do.

CAN they? Fuck no.

Get out there and have fun! There's gonna be grannies in wheelchairs and little kids in wagons and God knows how many dogs. There's certainly gonna be yours truly, dressed up as a taco as per usual and waving a Ukrainian flag.

If we can do it, just about any cis het able bodied white person can.
