#MinimumWage is a great idea. its not so great when the minimum wage is so low that workers on the minimum need government support in order to have a reasonable quality of life. why not have a minimum wage high enough that workers dont need government aid; & provide government aid to companies who cant afford to pay the minimum, but would be profitable with lower wages? it seems to me that rich companies are profiting from low labour rates which are subsidised by the government (ie tax payers)
