Ok, family and friends and #guix peeps, the #guixrouter initial push is up on codeberg as promised.

https://codeberg.org/dlakelan/guixrouter

There's also a semi-extensive discussion of how to use it in the README which is visible at the repo page, it probably needs a bit more discussion in the readme even, so I'll be working on that. Right now, I'd love it if people take a look and If you have questions put them here or in an issue and I'll try to write answers into the README.

guixrouter

A configuration for a privacy enhancing high performance low latency router VM for use on Proxmox or similar running Guix

Codeberg.org
Just pushed a newer version of the README. There will be a development period where the instructions get fleshed out... Like right now there's no instructions as to how to get a baseline Guix VM going so you can copy the config to it and reconfigure.

If you're interested in trying this out, the easiest way to get started is if you already have a Proxmox host. There's nothing saying you HAVE to use Proxmox, but that's what I am most likely to be able to help you with because it's what I know.

If you want to test it out, you might want to create some homelab networks rather than hook it up to your internet provider and try to make it your ISP facing router right away 😅
