Henlo! What is @fdroidorg's policy on with AI generated source code? IMHO this question seems big enough to consider it another character in word FLOSS. Free Libre Open Source Software without Ai. People may demand software being written by humans, not AI.
Please, this is not a discussion about using AI or not, just: what is the current policy of #fdroid on #ai ?

@fabos Nothing definitive yet, a discussion here: https://gitlab.com/fdroid/admin/-/work_items/641 and one here https://forum.f-droid.org/t/f-droid-policy-on-libre-ai/33279 Keep in mind that #AI corporations push billions into this, while #FDroid is a bunch of humans doing in on pennies. We can't realistically keep up. Better ping your favourite dev and ask them about their policy and tell them your fears (licensing incompatible with #FLOSS, corporate lock-in, etc).

Hello, I see more and more apps on f-droid using AI, and it's pretty disturbing since they pose many ethical concerns, and not only about privacy....

I was interested in how and if F-Droid reacts, if there's a software known to have AI generated code. Will there be a label like 'AI inside' or will the software label 'contains unwanted properties' .. this could help to decide if I want a software or not.
I don't want f-droid to actively search for AI generated stuff or use it

I'm going to take a look into the discussions. Thanks for the links.
