I’m not trans. As far as I know, my kids aren’t at the moment. Nobody in my family is. None of my good friends are. I don’t prescribe medication for gender affirming care. I don’t specifically treat folks for gender dysphoria. So why do I give a fuck?

You don’t punch down. There’s no transgender machine producing trans judiciary and trans politicians and trans PACs to come for my cisgender. There are trans folks being discriminated against, outed, beaten, jailed, and killed. I hate bullies.

@mcnado I do have trans friends and relatives. They aren't bothering anyone. Why are they getting all this crap?

@wattevans Convenient target of the day. 20 years ago, it was gays. Before that, Muslims. Before that, Blacks. Before that, Catholics. Jews. Italians. Irish. Chinese. And I'm just looking at US history. Whomever is currently popularly unpopular, politically vulnerable, and economically powerless is convenient for anyone who wants to push an agenda. Most people are ignorant about gender identity and uncomfortable with it, and that's all that's necessary to demonize an entire demographic.
