Were people actually obsessed about that movie series back then? Because I had never even heard of it when I was a kid, yet it's definitely aimed at younger audiences and I hadn't even heard of Critters 4 (at least that one surely intersects my own childhood enough,) much less any of those.
Was it just something where some director just assumed everyone was watching but no one was, yet they just kept churning them out anyway?
What's going on here?
