*shrugs*

Been telling you/anyone who would listen since at least 2015 that the only way to "win" a war with Iran is to not play.

The idea that this is somehow "surprising" - and man, I've heard that from senior military and foreign policy analysts and officials dozens of times this past month - is objectively an attack on your intelligence.

Iran saw what happened to Iraq's then 4th-largest army in the world and said "nope." The fact that we pretend they'll fight our way changes nothing.

So, you know, nobody should be surprised when retired spooks and babykillers are on your TV saying "Iran is winning this war."

That's not a surprise. Iran prepared to fight a war we simply decided they wouldn't fight, in a way we simply decided they wouldn't do - despite being warned that they would do precisely this, on MULTIPLE occassions.

At some point, no matter how powerful you are, wishes ain't fishes. You can't stop reality from being real. And here we are.

All of which is setting aside that I sincerely do not support ANY American wars. I would not be for what we are doing if it was "wildly successful" by Leon Panetta's standards.

But also? Don't launch unwinnable wars, you have not prepared for, with zero clear and obtainable objectives, against an "enemy" that has been lurking like a tiger in the trees waiting for PRECISELY THIS fucking scenario since 1979!

Bombing MENA countries is America's "attacking Russia in winter." We never learn.

@AnarchoNinaWrites THIS time, we will overrun Stalingrad!
