I'm not surprised that our late stage capitalist society has somehow created blinkit ambulance. But I am surprised that brands would do the "quirky comment to look cool" thing (probably by an underpaid copywriter) even on these reels.
Maybe I'm overthinking. But big yikes. Very tone deaf.
@nachiketh always feels to me like india is several years behind in the online marketing space. this one reminds me of when US brand twitter accounts used to roleplay and talk to each other, and some even used to give motivational advice and encouragement ("Steak-umm bless"). people got so sick of it that the "Silence, brand" stickbug meme got popular and regularly used.
@mehluv true, everyone wants to be quirky Wendy's account. But they end up telling us how out of touch they all are.
