I measured out my ceiling and office area (approximately third of the living room)
I used eye hooks to gain anchor and string to measure out lengths, and to see the patterns I could create.
More measurements and mistakes. I'll fill them when I decorated. For now, I need "home" feelings.
After writing a couple of letters, and walking to town, I got overloaded and had to redirect nervous energies to a sensible outlet.
So, I made a pretty!

I mean I want to copy yours! Once I've finalised on my purchase of the house, I'll redecorate to something with more colour and less... White. Everything is white (including the kitchen bathroom and the floor is light grey), so it defo needs some colour.
I'm in two minds. I could either leave it white but use LED strips to add colour, or paint. Depends how high tech or messy I want to get. But deffo more colour!

This white/off-white/gray thing is tiring. You need a little pizazz. Have you settled on a colour scheme?
I wouldn't copy mine. I have been trying to decorate for seven months but I'm broke and know nothing about decorating, so all I have is 10 litres of white emulsion for prep, some cheapie rollers, and polyfilla for the myriad holes created by the previous tenant.
God, I need help with this stuff. 😫

Yeah, I wasn't wild on it. I could have decorated, but then I'd have to paint it back to white when I left (which I can't be arsed with). However, now it will be mine, I'm more willing to spend the time and money doing so.
I'm rubbish at decorating too, always had to check with my wife of the colours I chose worked, so a house 😬
As you're close (ish) to me, always happy yo help. We can be two lost souls trying to decorate 🤣

@DodoTheDev Side note: I've been watching some over-confident decorators on YouTube. Lighting, paint, white house with accents in decoration. I wouldn't know where to even start.

No, neither do I. My brother is quite handy with the physical side of it (converted his daughters loft), but for aesthetical chops, I'd turn to my friend who is good at that. She's paid most of her rent in redecorating her landlords house.
