There was a building collapse near me which was directly caused by a local councillor neglecting to maintain the building that he owned, people could've died or been seriously injured...

But because one of the people who narrowly escaped the collapse that the local news interviewed just happened to be trans, people are now mocking her instead of being angry at the councillor whose neglect caused the building to collapse in the first place...
