Very useful to check how the age monitoring topic is going on Linux world.

Ageless Linux — Distro Compliance Tracker

@xandowsk now do you think the top distros are gonna cave to this shitty laws? If they do theres gonna be a lot more distro exodus happening if the too distros like fedora, arch, mint and debain cave to this. I really hope linux mint doesn't cave because I love that distro and its been my daily driver for a few years now and its gonna be annoying if I do some distro hopping because I'm not too fond of it unless I need to do it to find a new desktop OS home
@xandowsk also what distro do you use?
@GlitchGhost I’m on Bazzite. Which is not really a distro on traditional thinking. It’s based on Atomic Fedora with cloud native delivery. It’s built using Universal Blue.
@xandowsk nice. How is that one. Ive been hearing about that as the trendy linux distro for gaming right now but I dont see myself using it since I'm pretty happy with mint
@GlitchGhost I’m enjoying it a lot so far. Proper HDR and multi-monitor support. My games work as I expect most of the times with zero to little effort. I can keep secure boot so as I can dual boot on Windows for the games using incompatible anti-cheat. And the best part, the container philosophy. Easy roll backs and also makes it easy to run any distro containers seamlessly integrating everything.
@xandowsk I see. Dont really do stuff like HDR, by multi monitor support do you mean you play games with two or three screens? So far gaming on linux mint has been fine but might be due to since I mostly play single player games or games on steam, emulators or source ports that I know work on linux out of the box and I use a GTX 1060. Im kinda out of touch with the what's currently on the market gaming and tech wise
@GlitchGhost What I do is game on the couch with Steam on the TV while the desktop monitor is free for whatever else. Using the same PC rig. Than I need/want proper 4K/HDR/144fps. But do play a lot of new stuff as well. 🙃
