Joe Wynne 🌻🚗⛰️🐦 We are getting reports that migrating hummingbirds have been seen near the NC / SC border.
We have our feeders out for the first wave which will pass by on their way farther north.
👀 Has anyone in North Carolina spotted any?

Which hummingbird species come through there? Out on the west coast the rufous hummingbirds start coming through quite early and now I'm hearing their signature zinging flight sound every day

In the east, the overwhelming majority is Ruby-Throated. It's actually the only breeding species here.
So I am jealous of those people in areas with multiple species.
