@gleick Oh if only it was stolen, it was defrauded. And fraud is not a zero sum game. An example that frequently comes to mind was a grifter who stuck an out of order sign on the machines people use to pay for parking. He issued hand written receipts for £5 parking that the operators didn't respect when the they issued £35 parking fines. If Trump is up by $5bn then I'd not be surprised if the USA is down by a significant multiplier of that.
