@dangillmor what I'm confused is, if the investment is now withdrawn, did Sora get to use Disney IP for three months for free…?
@mcc Not sure either. Looks like Disney got snowed in other ways, though.
@dangillmor Most of the OpenAI "investments" when you look at the fine print are announcements of intent to invest up to the amount, not actual money exchanges. Like most of Nvidia's commitments. All to drive stock valuations up, and most of them work.

The big buried red flag in that article is the supposed focus on artificial general intelligence, which is even more of a smoke and mirrors grift than the AI video grift was. And AI coding has only a couple of years left before it becomes obvious that it can't be trusted to write anything important or useful.
