@_L1vY_ It sort of feels so abstract to be meaningless. The scale of pearl clutching I guess? Thousands of dollars! Gasp! Hundreds of thousands… millions… billions… trillions… aaaaaand… quadrillions.
After a while you stop feeling it. Then the theme song for Annie occurs to me, “The Sun’ll come up, tomorrow…”
@_L1vY_ When the rich learn that the rest of us have quit the game, when we are growing food and helping each other, simply signing deeds to cars and houses for nothing, when we all just stop accepting the belief of capitalism, all they will have is a schmeer of data in some ACH EDI data file and… nothing else. From the richest to “penniless” (and they discontinued the penny! Ba dum tiss!)
Capitalism only works if we all believe and agree. When that stops… that’s when the fun starts.

$1.4 trillion wiped out from US stock market today? US stocks fell after President Trump threatened EU tariffs linked to Greenland. Major indexes dropped. Trade war fears rose. Bond yields climbed. Investors moved to safe assets as earnings season began.
