As I finally put together my playlist alternating between classic WB/CN bumpers and the remainder of my unwatched Looney Tunes shorts, I felt strangely… reverent. Like the careful sorting felt almost like a ritual. I know that's not usually what Looney Tunes makes you feel, but these shorts are a part of animation history, pretty much everyone that worked on them has been dead for years, and watching them feels like I'm saying, "This work mattered. This is art."
