@ju I wish I didn't read the book first: I would have enjoyed it more (I liked the movie). I'm sad they skipped most of the science (which was very accessible even in the book) to put some weird scenes.

The whole scene outside of the spaceship where he gets the sample out of the atmosphere was completely stupid: just get it up, then leave the orbit and once out of danger, go get it. Sadness...
