Not just marketing.

Every time I get an order confirmation mail, it's sent from "noreply". Who sends from noreply? Spammers and fraudsters, that's who. A legitimate company would want to make it easy for customers to contact them.

Every time spammers come up with a new trick, 3-6 months later, it becomes a "best practice" for legitimate companies so that telling spam and scams from legitimate mails becomes harder.
