This is the purpose of AI surveillance. Not only does it serve commercial interests in tracking everything that we say or do and of course purchase, as well as what’s in our bank accounts, pervasive surveillance, enables governments to track social movements and opinion.

I think the saving grace of all of this is that "AI" is garbage; it's not useful for parsing "social movements" because it doesn't have any *precision* or *fidelity*.
"AI" for ICE has powered broad action that has bled past the acceptable margins of autocratic policing into the "normalized" population, dramatically radicalizing the people Trump needs to stay quiet and well fed if he wants to survive the next couple of years.
Even deep red States are stirring.
Yes, one of the most cheering things I’ve seen is communities waking up to what those damnable flock, surveillance cameras do and drop kicking them out of their community, even though they seem to be cockroaches.
Ring cameras are the next target I would like communities to focus on. I’m sick and tired knowing that I’m walking down a neighborhood with cameras on every other door. I now make it a point to give them a finger well stating what I think of them
