Her testimony had been scheduled for Thursday but has been postponed due to scheduling issues.

Noel, an Army veteran who started working in the Special Housing Unit of New York’s Metropolitan Correctional Center in early July 2019 – the same week #Epstein was arrested on federal #SexTrafficking charges & incarcerated there – was supposed to be making checks on Epstein every 30 mins that night along with her colleague, Michael Thomas.

…The materials released in the files have only raised more questions, including new details about cash deposits Noel made in the months surrounding Epstein’s death. The files also show Noel Googled “latest on Epstein in jail” less than an hour before his body was found in his jail cell at around 6:30 AM.

@Nonilex Personally I'm of the opinion that no one directly did anything but that a lot of people around all this were known to be fans of Trump so did every single thing they possibly could to encourage him and then somehow get him off suicide watch knowing what would inevitably happen.

I wouldn't be shocked if they gave him a good talking to once or twice though to help things along.

Call it Occam's Razor I guess. This seems more likely than assassins sneaking in and faking a suicide.

@nazokiyoubinbou @Nonilex I appreciate your razor but it still doesn't make sense that he would kill himself. He'd been here before, in 2008, and finagled his way out of it. He had dangerous information on many powerful people and was the type of person who would leverage that. His erstwhile "best friend" was President of the USA (and he had plenty on Trump as well). He was engaged with his lawyer in planning his defence. He had money to burn for legal costs. There's just no reason to kill himself. And for *all* the things that went wrong to go wrong at the same time strains statistical probability.

@nzlemming @Nonilex This was *nothing* like the 2008 situation... He was caught in a situation where even money couldn't buy his way out and he knew it.

Trump didn't have quite the power to get away with pardoning that one either. And, in fact, doing so would have doomed him since it would have opened a lot of floodgates (including for the victims to ruin Epstein himself.) It also would have ruined Trump who needed it to disappear quietly if he actually issued a pardon...

@nzlemming @Nonilex One thing to remember is that Trump's previous term of rule over America — as lawless as it was — wasn't anywhere near to the level that it is today. He could get away with a lot, but if he had done something like that it would have meant even MAGA would turn on him back then.

Even today MAGA is... less than thrilled even finding out what little hasn't been hidden in this regard.

As a side note, he was known as suicidal before it, but was taken off suicide watch suddenly.
