Just canceled my Paramount+ subscription. Star Trek was the only thing we were watching on there, and since we're between seasons of Strange New Worlds, with the cancelation of Starfleet Academy and Ellison's ownership, it just wasn't just worth funneling more money their way.
I'll pick up Blu-rays when they're released, so Paramount will eventually get a little bit more of my money, but at least this way it will be going specifically to Star Trek things and not a monthly "here, spend my money on whatever right-wing claptrap you feel like" subscription.
(Plus, I have…<ahem>…other methods of getting ahold of shows I want to watch if I want to do so, so I'll still be able to watch the three remaining Star Trek seasons (two of SNW, one of SFA) as they appear. They'll get my money for the Blu-rays eventually anyway, so no guilt there, and hey, if they cancel physical releases and blame dropping viewership, that's on their poor decisions, and I'll still have the downloads.)
(Sometimes, 🏴☠️ is the ethical choice.)
