Fender Studio Pro review: Powerful digital audio workstation

Fender Studio Pro 8 expands an already powerful feature set with Fender- and guitar-specific flourishes plus numerous interface enhancements.

Looks okay at a glance. Are you trying it out?

I'm unlikely to change now but if I was just starting up, the old Persons DAW was pretty good too.

@OneBlindMouse I doubt I will try it. I already started shifting from Protools to Logic and that’s quite enough at this moment.
@muz4now
Makes sense. I tend to think people stick with what they know these days but a few people seem to be moving away from Pro Tools.
@OneBlindMouse Avid’s high subscription rates are a factor.
@muz4now
I don't know if this is still true but when I used studios, back in the day, Pro Tools never allowed third party plugins and that will also be an issue for many people looking for a 'pro' DAW.
@OneBlindMouse ProTools is still the most-used platform in commercial studios.
Not sure what you mean by 3rd party, but they accept any plugins that have AAX versions. They don't work with VST, for example (although there are pass-through plugins that are AAX and allow you to use VST in them).

@muz4now
It's some time since I even looked at a Pro Tools DAW but then, the only plugins we could use were the resident ones, they were very simple and the studio I used just used to use the old hardware racks anyway for most things.

I've used Cubase Pro since forever and like the whole Steinberg suite as it covers repair/tweaks... composing and mastering

On the OP... I thought I might put the free Fender studio onto my phone and see how it does as a sampler when out and about.

@OneBlindMouse Cool idea about the app on a phone.
And I understand sticking with what works.
