Today in "cool or very useful projects I don't have time for, and probably won't get to, but I'm gonna write down anyway":

So that I can more easily practice at home, the music I'll be playing in concert, I want to create an app where you load a PDF of a music score (conductor's or individual parts) and a music file. You then work through each page dropping vertical lines that correspond with a particular point in time in the music file. When you are done it generates a video that goes page by page with the line scrolling across the page in time with the music.

@chris_e_simpson Not sure I fully understand, but would the goal be to have a version of the pdf (as a video) where the pages turn automatically to where in the piece you would be (and even more so, some indicator shows you which note?)

watching musicians at classical concerts, I've always wondered if that wasn't already automatically done these days? surely someone's come up with an app?
