Shoulder pain woke me up at 5am this morning…

So of course I rented a VM with a 4090 GPU, downloaded a free 3D model of a vendel period Swedish helmet, exported 100 renders of it from Blender, uses SfM on those images to produce poses and point clouds, trained it on the VM to produce a gaussian splat and then rendered it in my Metal gaussian splat viewer

The code for the GS renderer is on GitHub and I think I’m going to put it on the AppStore. Along with a sample repo that will allow you create your own splats. Now that I’ve figured out a solution to all the CUDA and pytorch and nerfstudio versioning nightmare it’s kinda straight forward. And cost like 5 cents on Runpod.io
