Our program track there, 💫 The Next Socials 🌐, will feature the depth of open social web development, especially in Europe, outside the influence of Big Tech.

@wearenew_public @publicspaces @waag would you consider reserving one of the awards for non-technical excellence in Open Social? I'm specifically thinking of the thousands of people actually operating open social spaces who do not produce technology but instead create (and keep safe) civil spaces for their communities.
The developer community gets a lot of love and focus, but the frontline community managers and moderators are an unheard, unseen, burnt-out but vital component.

As part of my work with @swf , I come into contact with a lot of great projects putting amazing effort into the open social web. Is it possible to "nominate" a person or group for an OSA award, or do they have to apply themselves?
