Oh dear, I didn't realize Kukla's test is taking 8 hours! I hope she knows we're all pulling for her and sending her good thoughts.

Yes, one of the tests they do to detect Cushing's Syndrome takes 8 hours. The vet first draws blood for a baseline and then administers a drug. Then they wait, checking the blood again after 4 hours, and then after 8 hours, to see if any changes have occurred.
