Dear #LazyWeb,

I have a couple of audiobooks that are each comprised of a dozen or so MP3 files. What are the pros and cons of combining these into a single MP3 or M4B file? Does it matter?

@skippy you should definitely convert them to an m4b
@scigrapher Telling me WHAT to do, without telling me WHY or how it provides value, seems less than helpful.
@skippy I figured, since you were asking, you'd already have reasons to do it. The only reason I can think of to convert them to an m4b is to have a single file while maintaining separate chapter support.  Realistically, I don't know that it's worth converting if you're not specifically looking to reduce the complexity of multiple files.
@scigrapher I was asking for pros and cons. I'm new to this. 10x 30 MB files, or 1x 300MB file.  The separate files work, but if the single file works better I'd like to know that! If "better" here simply means "one file versus 10 files" that's good to know, as it's not that much better.  Thanks!
