Very disappointed with this podcast - inaccurate and both-sidesism. #TheAtlantic #journalism

I want to add that I’m disappointed because The Atlantic has, for the most part, been an outstanding beacon of excellence in these dark journalistic times. #TheAtlantic #journalism
@Remittancegirl Except for its defense of Israel's genocide.
@beckett I have read some articles by staff writers on the Atlantic who condemn it without reservation.
@Remittancegirl
Really? I had the impression that it was a solid mouthpiece for the Establishment.
@Quasit which establishment?
@Remittancegirl
The oligarchy's Establishment. Is there another?

@Quasit Well, The Atlantic first published in 1857, so yes, it is most definitely part of the establishment.

Exactly when in history, in the Anglo speaking world, was there not an oligarchy of some sort or other?

It happens to be extremely and consistently critical of the Trump administration, so you know... that makes them quite a bit more palatable to me than all the other 'establishment' media outlets these days.
