This is more Screeching Weasel, sad sack pop punk, but tempered by the party-hardy Jeans silliness ("You did a wicked line/That one gets you every time" and their great "das wassup"). There's something forlorn about juxtaposing the twin loopinesses of a hangover and of friendship, or an infatuation. This sonic nostalgia conjures the late stage of a crush, when you're out too late and realizing you might be in a pickle.
